Description
We all are aware of the stormwater stresses presently experienced by urban communities and know with climate change that these stresses will only increase. The impacts are more pronounced for overburdened communities, due to past environmental justice inequalities creating conditions that make effective stormwater management that much more challenging.
The objective of this course is to demonstrate how green infrastructure stormwater management techniques are being used in urban settings to increase community resilience to flooding, climate change, and other stormwater linked environmental and social impacts.
This course brings together leaders in the field of urban stormwater management who will share with course attendees how green infrastructure is being applied in urban settings. This includes a number of case studies demonstrating how theory is put into practice.
