The second hour details the criteria and implications for the NJDEP to assume direct oversight of a remediation project, including triggers like inadequate performance or significant risks, and the associated procedures and potential penalties. The final hour addresses the "Addressing Emerging Contaminants for Existing Cases" guidance, teaching principles for evaluating and managing emerging contaminants in ongoing projects, including identification of sources, analytical methodologies, and specific investigation and remediation strategies.
