Description

This 75-minute breakout session will explore how New Jersey’s crisis services and the 988 Lifeline support and strengthen the state’s public safety system. Participants will gain an understanding of how these services operate day-to-day, how they respond during heightened community needs, and how they intersect with law enforcement, EMS, 9-1-1 centers, and other public safety partners. The session will highlight how 988 connects individuals to appropriate behavioral health support, reduces strain on traditional public safety resources, and enhances coordinated response during community crises.
