Description

Program Objectives:

1. Discuss how caregiver burnout impacts service delivery, treatment, and care of aging patients.
2. Identify tips to assist caregivers with addressing and overcoming feelings of burnout.
3. Describe the impact of unsafe manual patient handling on health care workers.
4. List the three main components of a safe lifting program.
5. Identify 2-3 low-tech home modifications to improve saftey and access.
6. Identify 1-2 scenarios in which adaptive equipment may be warranted.
