Identify key legislation that addresses child abuse
Define the federal role in child abuse activities
Identify and describe the four major types of child abuse
Identify the possible reasons for medical neglect
Describe signs and symptoms of abuse
Identify groups of children with a high risk for abuse
Describe symptoms associated with shaken baby syndrome
Identify characteristics associated with perpetrators of child maltreatment and abuse
Define and discuss the term mandated report
